Error Messages: Err Msg: "These documents contain subset fonts that have the same name..." - This is a known issue with CR exports to 'Acrobat Format (PDF)'. This issue has been assigned Track ID ADAPT00100207. To work around this issue in Adobe 6.0 Standard a user is able to merge the two exported documents in the following way.
Fonts do not work in PDF documents or embedding utilities - When creating PDF documents with barcode fonts or using other barcode font utilities, the resulting barcode field document displays text instead of the intended barcode font.
Question. I get an error message that says that certain "fonts are not subset embedded". What should I do? - One of the most important steps in the entire PDF process is embedding your fonts into the PDF document. Many readers of your manuscript may not have on their computers all the fonts that you have used in your document. Therefore you must embed them in the PDF file, or Acrobat will make font substitutions that can alter the appearance of your manuscript.
You receive a "This presentation cannot be edited because it contains a read-only embedded font" error message when you try to change or to save a presentation in PowerPoint 2002 SP3 or in PowerPoint 2003 - This behavior occurs because the presentation contains an Embedded Read Only font. This makes the presentation restricted to read-only. To resolve this behavior, open the presentation in an earlier version of Microsoft PowerPoint and resave the presentation without embedding any fonts.
