Embedding Fonts in Flash MX - There are probably more than a couple occasions when you want to embed a font, or modify its _alpha or _rotation properties without having to break apart the text and convert it into a MovieClip symbol. Incomplete character set when embedding fonts in Flash MX on MacOS - I’m having problems displaying dynamic text in Flash MX. When I use an embedded (non device) font and publish the movie on a Macintosh, I lose some useful punctuation characters (curly quotes, en-dashes). If I publish the same file on Windows, it works okay. I’m guessing Flash on Macintosh isn’t embedding all the font outlines.
Introductions to Fonts in Flash - Flash also allows you to embed fonts, the difference is that while embedding fonts in HTML is problematic, Flash allows you to embed fonts flawlessly. So the person viewing the flash file can any fonts used within it without having the font installed on their computer.
