Small website updates- Establish relationship with world-class Marketing Agency - Website Design Freelance Job
Hey everyone, I own a growing marketing agency based out of Los Angeles with offices expanding to Miami, Austin and New York this year. I have established relationships with world-class interactive designers and developers I’ve worked with in LA over the years. They handle most of the high-end jobs I continue to secure. However, I still have a handful of smaller, sometimes “pro-bono” jobs I handle in-house- in addition to ongoing updates and upgrades needed for my own site that my existing developer resources won’t tackle due to the fact they are too busy with larger jobs I am putting out a call for up-and-coming, talented, hungry designers/developers who are willing to tackle a few such quickie jobs for me over the next month. I’d like to gauge your talent, work-ethic, desire, loyalty and overall kick ass attitude with the goal of bringing you into the fold of my agency as one of my go to developer resources this upcoming year and beyond. There is very little pay on the first 2-3 projects (low upfront, with total payment running about $600 to be paid out by Feb 15 give or take a week once all the projects we discuss are completed). But they are relatively simple projects that anyone with good skills can likely knock out over the course of few days of very intensive work (couple of minor updates to existing sites, some modest flash work involving basic animation and video player development, editing some wordpress code, etc). Despite the low pay and relatively simple needs of these gigs, they are still very important and need to be handled with the utmost priority, professionalism and- most importantly- creativity. I will require a basic “work-for-hire” agreement and can’t deal with flaky developers who promise, but don’t deliver. Let me assure you, I am viewing these jobs as a stepping stone to steer more meaningful work to the individual(s) that I select. There is plenty of work in my pipeline. Some paying extremely well. I would love nothing more than to be blown away by the work you do this next month and be reassured enough to start sending plenty more better paying work to you. Impress me and you will make good money working consistently with my agency… Some of my existing developer relationships stretch back 10 years and they have made a lot of money with me. I’m simply looking for the next generation of partners that want to come along for the ride as my agency continues to grow. REQUIREMENTS: * Really interested in individuals who embrace design as a priority and coding as secondary, but necessary. * I need strong, strong creative minds with design sensibilities that will blow people’s minds. But also need to possess the requisite coding skills to bring their ideas to life. * Strong communication. Seriously, this is critical. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT POSSESS THE PROFESSIONALISM TO STAY IN FREQUENT CONTACT VIA EMAIL, PHONE or CHAT. * I need to see a portfolio of work. You don’t have to have designed major, world class, enterprise level sites to impress me. Just show me that you have a firm grasp of design and can handle essential coding to show off your work * Ideally, looking for younger, hungry folks (maybe even super talented students/ recent graduates coming out of art/design schools) - I don’t deal with “veteran” egos. If you’ve been around a while, great- I value experience- but just know that I’ve also been around a while and I always check my ego at the door. My sole desire is to do the best work possible for the client even if what is best for the project is not my idea. The only thing I value as much as creativity and strong communication is the fruits of true collaboration. The three Cs– Creativity, Communication, Collaboration– essential! * Impeccable HTML, FLASH skills * Stellar design skills (ideally the flexibility to jump from one a logo/proper corporate identity one day, then crazy animation/illustration skills the next) You don’t have to be the world’s best animator/illustrator, but definitely have a firm grasp of basic concepts in those disciplines and the desire to become the best. Students welcome, but, obviously, the more skills you can demonstrate, the more likely you’re gonna be top on my list. I only work with the best- or those striving to become the best * Flash video capabilities, player design, compression/conversion * Photoshop/ Illustrator expertise * Ability to custom code WordPress blogs * Work fast, under pressure and still meet deadlines with great results * Strong work-ethic * Honesty and loyalty * Folks who always strive for excellence and are willing to do what it takes to get the job done impeccably- even if it means going back and tackling something a few times until it’s perfect * Ideally domestic (especially if in LA or South Florida right now) Please contact me ASAP, I have one very quickie job that needs to be finished by Feb 1.
