Contract Graphic Design Projects for Graphic Designers & Web Designers

I have had a website for apx. 3 years. I have had a great deal of difficulty finding reliable webmasters to do the minimal updates I need from time to time. I would like to get rid of my dependance on others to upload the information I need, but not being a tech-savvy person myself, I am unable to do that with my site designed as it currently is. Therefore, I think the best thing is to re-do and re-launch my site as a WordPress blog—still at my own web address, not on the WordPress Site. I need someone to work with me on this-i.e., more than someone to just fill in some code, but someone who can think for themselves, come up w/ creative ideas, design something super-cool and definitely out of the box, and consult with me over a couple emails or a phone conversation—and, then ultimately, create/design the website I need. To do that, I will want you to review my current site (which is in php), and my “wish list” of additions, and tell me: a) If I can incorporate all that in a blog lay-out; b) If you can create a visual design that invokes the same spirit as what I currently have, yet is new and improved. I have a list of the content I have and want to add below, but a few fyi’s first: —I have Google Ads; want to keep those, and perhaps have the ability to add more, non-Google advertising (is that something you can set up for me/I can do/add myself later?). —I have a forum; would like to get rid of that, but possibly (now or in the future) add more more modern user-generated content: i.e., an area on the website that allows outsiders to post, and perhaps everyone rate that posting. If you know how to do this, PLEASE MENTION THIS . And, if you know how to set up a social network, mention that (w/ a separate estimate). If you don’t think either of these can be done in the framework of a Wordpress blog, please advise. -I have the ability to send out a newsletter with my current set-up, but just a basic, text one. I would really like to keep up the newsletter thing, but update it to an HTML format -can you set this up as part of the design so I can send out such newsletters on my own? I am Mac-based, have some basic Dreamweaver knowledge, but not much beyond that. —Would like to add E-Commerce down the road; can that be done w/ a Wordpress site? —I have heard that you should update Wordpress blog set-ups every year w/ their tweaks; can you set that up to do automatically? —I am not looking for a cookie-cutter web page, but an interactive, user-friendly website that looks really cool and incorporates all the modern technology you see on popular websites (such as RSS , email a page, print a page, etc.). I am thinking this might require some custom designing, but I welcome your opinion on this. Here’s the pages I currently have: —Home page —About me page —Site Map page —Contact page —Newsletter sign-up page —Press page —Articles (multiple pages) —Suggested books page —Links page —Terms of Use page —Photos —Videos —Articles —Seasonal suggestions pages —A couple other misc. pages I would like to add additional “categories”/areas of information, such as (list yet to be finalized): —Tip of the week —Link of the week —Stupidity of the week —Hot Deals of the week —New product of the week —Suggested products —Donations page —Announcements -Google Maps (I may need to add these from time-to-time -is it easy to incorporate them into an entry, w/ teardrops of info on them?) —Whole area(s) of outside/user-submitted content Etc. Please, have English be your native language, or be extremely fluent, be a clear communicator, and have a good work ethic/be reliable—if you can’t do something, tell me.
