Contract Graphic Design Projects for Graphic Designers & Web Designers

We’re looking for a young and talented graphic/web designer to design websites and other creative assets for humans on the web. The ideal candidate (that’s potentially you) is an independent freelancer who is looking to build a continuous relationship with a growing creative agency (that’s us). Showing a strong track record, the chosen candidate may have the future opportunity to join the team full time (not a mandatory part of this posting). The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with a small team of other designers and developers under the direction of a creative director. Initially, this position will require you to work virtually. Critical Requirements If you are thinking of applying, you should: Be a photoshop guru (self-proclamations are accepted at this time, illustrator is a huge asset) Have a healthy understanding of how people behave on the web and an undying passion for delivering exceptional user experiences to them Be able to manage your time effectively and deliver on committed deadlines (no, seriously) Have a strong and ongoing understanding of current web best practices, techniques and trends (including knowledge on typography, color, and grid structures) Be capable of working with a small, casual and down-to-earth group of people that may or may not hug you upon seeing exciting creative Flexible Requirements You should also: Have an updated online portfolio and/or live examples of previous work Have 2+ years of design-related experience (whether that be professional or hobbyist) Be capable of producing standard-compliant, semantic and tableless (x)HTML/CSS markup Have a constant desire to learn and develop your craft To apply send the following information: Links to your online portfolio, resume and/or at least 5 live examples of previous work Your availability now and over the next 6 months Your hourly rate Your location (note that we will not consider applicants outside of Toronto or the GTA ) Candidates missing any of this information will not be considered.
