Nucleares GIMP Plugins - Here are the plug-ins I have written for the GIMP Whirlpinch, Bumpmap, Contrast autostretch, Deinterlace, Interpolate/Extrapolate, Page curl, Equalize, and Diffraction.
Some GIMP Scripts-Fu (and Related ImageMagick Notes) - Each of these scripts (except one) performs a single GIMP function (rotating, scaling, etc.), reading its input from an image file and writing its output to a new image file. They can be plumbed together in a shell script to accomplish more complex tasks (e.g., rotate then scale then convert to JPEG). This technique of single-function Scripts-Fu and shell scripting is not efficient - The GIMP must be started each time, which has an overhead, and the reading and writing of image files takes time.
Script Fu and the GIMP - The scripts in /usr/share/gimp/1.2/scripts/ are a valuable resource when you are trying to write your own scripts. Generally it is a good idea to look and learn from them. If your script does not behave as expected you might want to search for a script that solves a similiar task. Maybe you can find a better solution there.
Mike's GIMP Stuff - Mike has created plugins for GIMP including a script to turn images into animated neon signs, a script that assists with creating side-bar based web sites, as well as a collection of neon dock icons
SunnySpot GIMP Scripts - There are 3 GIMP scripts / plugins here which include scripts that work on a shape and gives it a 3D-like effect, filling an image with a pattern, and rescaling an image and adds borders where needed in order to fit into a square.
Gimp Astronomy Plugins - These plug-ins for Gimp intend to be useful for astronomical image processing.
Techzillo : 40+ GIMP Plugins - Most of them are aimed at web-designers and photographers, the main users of GIMP. There are also some to fix common problems of GIMP.
GIMP Scripts - This page explains the basics of GIMP scripts, what they can do, where to find them and how to install them. What this page does not do is explain how to write them. That is HUGE subject and one I am not qualified to write on.
GIMP Talk - GIMP Plugins, Filters, and Scripts
Script Photo Effects for GIMP 2.4 - This is a compilation some still usefull scripts of Iccii and some other scripts I 've made myself, all brought together is one script-fu file. In my own scripts I've made use of some my Gimpressionist presets. They should also be installed.
VE3Syb GIMP Scripts - The tables on this page contain links to scripts you can download and use with GIMP. I did not create any of the scripts on this page. Most of the scripts were found while wandering around the Internet, or as the result of a search, and which I found were interesting and/or useful effects to have. Some of the scripts which appear here are due to users who appeared on the main #gimp IRC channel asking for help in getting a script to run.
Far Cry Design : GIMP Plugins - Useful Plug-ins for the GIMP. The following scripts may be particularly useful for touching up digital photographs: Blue Sky Gradient, Blue Sky & Clouds, Purple Fringe, Contrast Fix, Saturation Fix, Hot Dot, and Amazing Circles.
GimpUsers: 44 hot plugins for GIMP 2.4 - The package contains cool and professional scripts that are published under the GPL - so they're all free to use! After copying the scripts to our scripts-folder there is a new menu entry to access all the scripts.
GIMP Guru Scripts - There are 3 GIMP scripts to download for free here including a script to create photo-like decorative mats and frames, a script for automating fixing "red eye", and an interesting alternative to unsharp masking.
GIMP Book's Plugin Page - The Beginning GIMP book offers an online page with some useful scripts and plugins.
GIMP Developers - This site tries to provide useful information for GIMP developers. No matter if you are into plug-in development or want to dive into the internals of the GIMP core, you should find your way from here. This is a part of the official GIMP website.
A FEW GIMP PLUGINS
Carl.GIMP.org - This script will read xcfs from a directory of your choice and save three sizes of the image and corresponding html into a directory of your choice. It assumes that you made the xcf properly oriented regardless of the exif information. It makes jpegs out of multi-layered xcfs. It can make comments that contain its image name and the location of the original with a few minor changes.
ArcLayer GIMP Plugin - Arclayer is a GIMP plug-in for bending text (or anything else) in an arc.
Color Pickin' Chooser - The color pickin chooser is available as a windows application, a source "pack", which has everything you need to build and use color picking chooser yourself; source code, includes, icons, sample images and what-not, and as plain source code. Have fun! Export to GIMP.
GIMP Scripts Dot Com - This is the unstable development branch of GIMP.
GIMP Extras : TinyFu Plugin - A plug-in for GIMP 2.2 which uses the TinyScheme interpreter.
GIMP Gallery Plugin - Gimp Gallery is a plugin for Gimp that creates static HTML image galleries from a directory of images.
Gimp Waterdrop Pattern - A gimp pattern that creates a realistic mass of water drops.
IFS- Compose Objects GIMP Plugin - IFS-Compose is one of the weirdest and most fascinating plugins available for Gimp. It is basically a tool to generate recursive, natural-looking fractal shapes. It is quite hard to understand at first, but once you play with it you will start to understand how it works.
Liquid Recale GIMP Plugin - This site is about a GIMP plugin called Liquid Rescale. It is a free, open source frontend to the Liquid Rescale Library, which provides an implementation of the Seam Carving algorithm as described in this paper by Shai Avidan and Ariel Shamir. The Seam Carving procedure aims at resizing pictures non uniformly while preserving their features, i.e. avoiding distortion of the important parts. The plugin supports manual feature selection, and can also be used to remove portions of the picture in a consistent way.
Raster Image Manipulation with "The GIMP" Plugin - Do you know "The GIMP" ? That's a nice tool for manipulating raster images. It supports the mostly used raster formats like JPEG, TIFF, GBRUSH, PCD, PNG, PNM, TGA, XPM, .... It has a lot of features like other commercial products but its free. It is available for Windows and for a lot of UNIX systems.
Sculpt Texture Export Script for the GIMP - A simple GIMP plug-in allows a sculpt texture (or any texture) to be converted into a mesh and saved as Wavefront OBJ model, for upload into your favorite 3D modelling tool for previewing.
Shallowsky : Pandora Plugin - a GIMP Plugin for Making Panoramas
XSane GIMP Plugin - If XSane is started as Gimp plugin, the scanned image automatically is transfered to the Gimp.
