According to information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), demand for graphic designers should see the most increase from advertisement and computer design organizations. Associate's degrees are available from professional schools and can prepare students for careers as assistants to graphic designers and jobs doing technical design work. A bachelor's degree is required for more advanced positions. National statistics from the BLS indicate graphic designers earn a median income of $47,820 per year.
The National Association of Schools of Arts and Design has accredited four graphic design schools in Kansas.
