According to recent data collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), graphic designers employed in this state earned a mean annual wage of $50,850 in 2009, a number well above the national average. All other artists and related workers in New Jersey made $59,510, also besting the national average.
Graphic design schools in New Jersey produce graduates who enjoy fast access to neighboring New York, a state that offers one of the highest concentrations of graphic design workers in the country as well as some of the best wages for this profession ($56,680). The BLS expects steady growth for the graphic design industry, noting that individuals with experience in web design and animation should have the best job prospects.
