Format of GEM bitmap (.IMG) - The GEM bitmap is the save file format used by GEM Paint and Ventura Publisher. Some programs seem to be aware only of the Ventura version and crash on GEM Paint files, or render Paint images as greyscale.
IMG Format Comparison - All of these images were produced in Adobe PhotoShop 3.0 on the Macintosh. They came off PhotoCD through the Kodak Color Management System transform (to RGB) and were then adjusted with Intellihance RGB Pro on automatic settings.
