Great collection of trends for 2008. One trend I think you may have left out is the Handwriting/Sketched look. I have noticed recently that a lot of companies are going with this look. Check out the blogpost below to see more. It's pretty cool.

I agree with POTOR, the sketched/doodled look has emerged. Case in point, Starbucks' recent summer Vivanno campaign. This is what I see resulting from the design aesthetic of movies such as Napoleon Dynamite and Juno.
