Hi all,

I am rebranding myself. I decided to use my name in its original Greek form, Kharmion. The name means full of joy. I wanted the typeface to be modern. I will probably change the typeface but I decided to use the "O" that is found in Kharmion as an encasement. Do you think the encasement looks too similar to David Airey logo? It seems tear drops/leafy looking shapes are a popular trend. I am having the hardest time with trying to find a shape even if it's abstract that is light and fun (back to the sketching book).

I have seen that shape everywhere in logos in the past few years. You for sure wont be standing out by using it. The font face is alright. I find it a bit hard to read, but that might be because of the tight tracking on it.

The stroke on your shape is way too thick. It's over whelming your typeface.

I’m also not a huge fan of the. I like the light green, but the font color just doesn’t pop nor does it speak volume or say joy.

I think it really awesome what your name stands for. However I don’t see this logo playing on the meaning. I think there are some really cool ideas out there you can play on for this. Start researching joyful, happy, logos.

I will more than likely not use the type that is in the logo or the shape either, just going through a searching process, haven't hit that aha! moment yet. The logo is a bit too predictable and trendy. Thanks for the input though.

Cib is right, that shape is everywhere and distracts from the wordmark. I actually really like the typeface for your wordmark though. If it was slightly heavier it would look great, very clean. You could also change the color or shade of the "O" to represent that shape. Other than that I like it so far.
